We hope to instil in every child a lifelong joy of dance and we aim to deliver the highest quality teaching in a disciplined and structured environment which allows them to flourish and achieve their potential.
All our classes work towards the examinations offered by our international awarding bodies, The Royal Academy of Dance (ballet) and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (modern and tap). We hold exam sessions three times per year and children are entered as and when they are individually ready. These exams offer a very positive experience as all children are thoroughly prepared and it is an excellent way for them to chart their progress whilst gaining in skill, confidence and achievement.
For most, weekly classes are a very special hobby that teaches them many transferable skills such as discipline, commitment, listening, communication, self-awareness and expression, musicality, co-operation, fitness and poise, and many more. For a smaller number, dance is something which may become their career, a goal which we are able and happy to support. We currently have students studying at London Contemporary, Rambert, Elmhurst and Tring and past students have gone on to have professional careers as dancers, teachers, choreographers and actresses. Our role is to support the hopes and dreams of all the children we teach, whether that is to pass their next ballet exam, to learn to do a particular step, or to become a professional.
We are happy to accept enquiries and new starters of all ages at any point in the term, taster sessions are free.
